Habitat for Humanity of Hobbs, New Mexico Area was founded on the principles of Habitat for Humanity International and was incorporated on May 18, 1998 to conduct business as a non-profit corporation in the State of New Mexico.  We attained tax exempt status on May 1, 1999 when we were granted affiliate status by Habitat for Humanity International.  We completed our first home in July 2000, for Yolanda Paredes Family at 430 E. Sunset Circle.

On April 23, 2022, we opened our Habitat ReStore at 301 E. Navajo Dr., Hobbs, NM.
