Since its founding in 1998, Hobbs Habitat for Humanity has built 50 new homes in partnership with sponsors, donors, volunteers, and Habitat Partner Families.

About Habitat for Humanity’s Cars for Homes™
Cars for Homes™ is Habitat for Humanity’s national vehicle donation program. It provides donors a quick and easy process to donate a car, truck, boat, RV or other vehicles to help build homes in partnership with local low-income families in need of decent, affordable shelter.
Cars for Homes ™ takes donated cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, RVs and other vehicles (working) and sells them through automobile auctions, recyclers or salvage yards to raise funds that help build simple, decent homes. Funds generated from vehicle sales benefit the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate and community where the donation is made.
Habitat’s Cars for Homes™ program provides a hassle-free and easy way to give to Habitat. Anyone can help provide affordable housing within their own community by donating vehicles they aren’t using or are ready to sell or trade-in.

Sponsor part or all of a Build
If you have a business, church or other organization that would like to raise funds for part or all of a home please give us a call at (575) 397-4398 so we can help you bring your plan together.
Materials
Materials A lot of materials go into a house. We use only new materials when building our homes. If you have new items or building materials that you would like to donate, please give us a call at (575) 397-4398 so we can arrange a pickup time and day for your items.
Food Donations
Our volunteers work Tuesday through Saturday from September through May building homes. Building homes is a very physical job that takes a lot of energy. We welcome donations of snack food for breaks on these days. We also try to provide lunch on Fridays for our volunteers and welcome lunch donations. To donate food or learn more about these needs please call Sandra or Richard at the office at (575) 397-4398.
Building Trade Contribution
We welcome those in the building industry to help us with knowledge, donation of time and materials. If you can contribute in any of these areas please give us a call at (575) 397-4398.
Land
If you have a piece of land you would like to donate or sell below market value to Habitat for Humanity please call our executive director, at (575) 397-4398 to discuss how this might be done.
Memorials, Wills and Trusts
If you would like to make a donation as a memorial to a loved one or make Hobbs Habitat for Humanity a beneficiary in your will or trust please call the executive director at (575) 397-4398 to discuss how this might be done.
